9am – English Contemporary Service. Run in English only
The 9am service was primarily set up for the 2nd generation English-speaking Chinese of the Church but as the congregation grew, we felt the need to reach out not just a specific people group but to “ALL” people, especially our local community. We hope that we can truly be a community church that reaches out to all whether young, old or different ethnicities and cultures whose primary language is English.
11.15am – Bilingual Service. Run in Mandarin and English
The church started out as a bilingual church. After 30 years we still remain to the core of its origin. The aim for this service is to reach out to migrant Chinese from different Asian Countries such as China, Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore. The service is run in two languages Mandarin and English simultaneously.
7pm Saturday - ECC Glen Waverley Fellowship. Run in Mandarin only (temporary venue : Glen Waverley Uniting Church)
The congregation is a church planting initiative. The goal is to reach out to the Chinese community around Glen Waverley. This congregation was started in April 2010 as a fellowship and was endorsed by ECC Box Hill as congregation in October 2011. Currently the congregation conduct the service at Glen Waverley Uniting Church, corner of Bogong Ave and Kingsway, Glen Waverley.
We hope that one day those migrant Chinese that come to our Church can go back to their country of origin to share the good news they have experienced here in Melbourne. |
