Reverend Joseph Cheong 张志辉牧师
Senior Pastor 主任牧师

Rev. Cheong has been serving the Lord Jesus Christ in ministry since 1992 upon his theological graduation in Singapore and later in Australia with ministry experiences from children, youth, young adults, family and the elderly. He joined ECC Box Hill in 2009, currently serving as the Senior Pastor who is responsible for the overall vision and direction of the church by providing spiritual leadership, preaching and teaching, pastoral care and community engagement. Rev. Cheong is actively involved with the Chinese Inter-Churches Committee to promote church unity and Ethnos (a multi-cultural ministry focus on reaching out to the ethnic groups in Melbourne). He has a Diploma in Theology with Bible Institute of Singapore and a Bachelor Degree in Biblical Studies majoring in Christian Mission from Western Australia Bible College. Rev. Cheong believes that to live by the Word of God is the answer to a fulfilled life and to imitate Jesus Christ is our way of life. His passion and interest is in leadership, mentoring and church planting. He is effectively tri-lingual in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Rev. Cheong is married to Cecilia who is a qualified early childhood educator and actively involved with children and ladies’ ministry. They have three sons, Joshua, Joel and Jeremiah.

Reverend Teoh Keat Seng 张吉成牧师
Advisory & Missionary Pastor 顾问兼宣教牧师

Rev. Teoh has been with ECC since 1986 serving in Senior Leadership role for over 20 years. He was instrumental in the establishment of the Melbourne School of Theology (formerly Bible College of Victoria) and the Melbourne Christian University of the 3rd Age (MCU3A) out of his love for the elderly folks. Presently Rev. Teoh is serving as the Advisory and Missionary Pastor with ECC Box Hill as well as Mission Director for Evangelical Chinese Church Melbourne. God is using Rev. Teoh’s mightily and effectively in preaching, teaching, evangelism and training of leaders for churches in Australia, Asia and Europe. Rev. Teoh’s love for God, uplifting, humorous and encouraging personality has truly been a blessing to all that cross his path. His heart for our church is to be the disciples who desire to be more Christ-like and encourage others likewise.

Rev. Teoh is married to Eunice who is an anointed worship leader and leads a praise exercise group for our church ladies. They both have 1 son, Darion, and 2 daughters, Christmin and Incy, as well as 5 grandchildren. Indeed, the Lord is good and has been blessing him and his household.

June Li 李雪华传道
Associate Pastor

Pastor June Li is serving as part-time assistant pastor yet with wholehearted commitment in her focus on ministering to the mainland Chinese migrants in our church. She is responsible in pastoral care in aspects of home visitation, welcoming of new believers and life group ministry. Her passion is sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and to see the local Chinese migrants coming to experience the goodness of God.

Pastor June Li is married to Joseph Shi and they have a son, Paul Shi, who is the youth coordinator for Youth Impact.

Reverend Peter Misso 彼得牧师
Interim Pastor for English Congregation

Rev. Peter A Misso has been in Ministry since 1985. He was the Executive Director of Teen Challenge Singapore before relocating to Melbourne in 1998 and served in Teen Challenge Victoria. He is an ordained minister with the New Life Evangelical Church Melbourne and currently serves as the Congregational Pastor for the English Congregation as well as the Interim Pastor for ECC Box Hill English Congregation.

Besides preaching and teaching, Rev. Peter Misso conducts seminars and workshops in the training of youth and Young adult leaders. He also runs Frontlets Ministries International Inc which he established since 2001. He is very passionate about nurturing and mentoring future leaders of the Church.

Rev Peter A Misso and his wife, Elizabeth Anne, have three teenage sons, Leroy, Shannon and Jan.
